We welcome and encourage you to worship with us!
We sincerely hope that you will visit us. If you are searching for a church family, we hope you will prayerfully consider Jonesville Baptist.
We believe the Holy Bible to be the inspired word of God without error from the beginning to the end. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (II Timothy 3:16-17)
We believe God reveals Himself to us and brings us to Himself through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is the only way that leads to salvation. When we put out faith and trust in Him. “For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.” (I Thessalonians 5:9) We have two ordinances of the church which are baptism by immersion and The Lord’s Supper.
Our objective as a church body is to worship God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and to be lead by the power of the Holy Spirit to share Christ with as many people as possible in our church, community, and throughout the world. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19)
How To Become A Christian
Everyone has a name. Names are important. All of us appreciate those who know our names and call us by our names. Does God know your name?
The Bible, God’s Word, tells us that God has a book of names called the Book of Life. The bible also tells us that persons whose names are not written in the Book of Life will be separated from God forever (Rev. 20:15). Unless you name is written in that book, one day Jesus will say, “I never knew you; depart from me.” (Matthew 7-23).
God loves you. God loves you so much that He sent His only Son into the world to provide a way your name could be written in the Book of Life.
If I, __________, believe in Jesus, I __________will not perish, but will have eternal life. Believing in Jesus involves being convicted of sin, and placing you faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord. God forgives you when you place your faith in Him. (Acts 3:19)
If you place your faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord as John 3:16 says, you will have eternal life and your name will be written in the Book of Life. The Bible says, “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13) You can call on the Lord right now. Pray this prayer: “Lord Jesus, I turn from my sins. My sins have hurt me and others and have offended You. I ask you to give me eternal life. Write MY name in the book of life.” Jesus will hear and answer your prayer.
How May I Become A Member of Jonesville Baptist Church?
By profession of faith and for baptism according to the policies of this church or if you receive Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord, and follow Him in baptism by immersion.
By promise of letter of recommendation from another Baptist Church.
By restoration upon a statement of prior conversion experience and baptism in a Baptist church when no letter is obtainable.
You may express your desire to fulfill any of the above by presenting yourself during the invitation at the close of each worship service. Jesus said “Whosoever acknowledges me before men, I will acknowledge him before my father in Heaven.” (Matthew 10:32)
